BIMTECH to launch campus in Bhubaneswar; gets AICTE approval
Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) is all set to launch its Bhubaneswar campus in July, 2013, for which AICTE’s approval has already been received.
BIMTECH, Bhubaneswar has been set up on a 30 acres land in the Gothapatna Institutional Area which has been allotted by the Government of Odisha in 2009. So far campuses of IIIT, IMI, NALCO R&D, Shiksha O Anushandhan University have already come up in the vicinity of BIMETCH campus.
Dr Sarala Birla has opined that the Bhubaneswar Campus of BIMTECH would prove to be a catalyst in helping these states (Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam etc.) in their endeavour for faster industrialization and inclusive economic growth.
Dr H Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH said that BIMTECH is currently partnering with 45 foreign B -schools and universities from Europe, US, Latin America, Africa and South East Asia. Arrangements have been made for exchange of faculty and students from Bhubaneswar Campus to go abroad to pursue a semester with partner institutions. The Bhubaneswar Campus will facilitate a close liaison with the industry for students and faculty. To serve the executive training needs of the industries in Eastern India, a MDP centre will also start functioning from July, 2013.
