Govt MedicalNEW DELHI: Counselling for admission to post-graduate courses in government medical colleges would now be held online, officials said on Sunday.

The directorate general of health services under the health ministry will hold counselling for admission to MD/MS/PG diploma and MDS courses under the all-India quota seats in various government medical colleges June 4-24, officials said.

The seats remaining vacant after that will be surrendered to the respective state governments for filling them under the state quota, they said, adding that the last date for admission to the courses has been extended to July 31.

The details of the counselling schedule will be available at www.mcc.nic.in.

The Supreme Court had last year approved the centre’s proposal for their online counselling for admissions to post-graduate medical courses against all India quota in government colleges, except in Jammu and Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh.
