Dr. Ashok Saxena has been appointed as a Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University. Earlier, he was Dean of the College of Engineering and the Irma F. and Raymond C. Giffels’ Endowed Chair in Engineering at the University of Arkansas. He did his B.Tech in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur in 1970, then M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering from University of Cincinnati. Then he went to American for higher education. From 1985 to 2002 he was in America as a prof. in the Institute of Georgia.
Dr. Ashok Saxena said “In today’s scenario technology is globally accessible and India has the largest employment rate in technology”. So it is necessary that to focus on innovate new technology with the global reach across countries. His focus was to motivate student towards development in technology. For the advancement of students is essential to have practical knowledge more than they should be, he added.
Mr. Suneel Galgotia, the Chancellor, said that our aim is to give students a global recognition and with the experience of Dr. Saxena this will come true. The faculty members of any university are its backbone. In Golgotias university the faculty members are world class that help students at every step. He also give a warm welcome to Dr. Ashok Saxena in Galgotia University.
