Financial Times: IIM-Ahmedabad among top 10 B-Schools Globally

Financial Times (FT) Masters in Management 2012 Rankings has listed educational institutions after evaluating their performance on its set standards. The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has been ranked among top 10 global B-schools.
The institute has slipped three places from rank seven last year to 10th rank in 2012 FT rankings. Moreover, in 2010, IIM-A had debuted at the FT Masters in Management Rankings at the eighth rank. In addition, the premier B-school is ranked number one in terms of placement success and number five in careers rank. In addition, University of St Gallen, Switzerland has been tagged as first for its Master in Arts Strategy and International Management followed by ESPC Europe at second position and CEMS for its Master in International Management programme at third position.
Apart from this, the institutes were followed by HEC Paris in France for HEC Master of Science in management at fourth position and Essec Business School in France at fifth position for its Master of Science in Management programme. The rankings give weightage to weighted salary in US$, value for money, careers, placement success, international students and faculty, women students and faculty, course fee and length, among others.
