The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) will establish an institute to impart education and facilitate research in the real estate sector in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In this regard,Lalit Kumar Jain, CREDAI’s president , donated Rs 1 crore and its vice president Jaxay Shah has given away land for the project.
It is expected to be functional by June 2014, the institute will tie up and get affiliated to top international institutes having expertise in the real estate domain, said a statement from the association. The proposed institute has already received a sum of Rs 4 crore as donation from members for the project. However, no technical details have been divulged yet.
In addition to it, CREDAI has also announced Educational Scholarship Scheme (ESS) to encourage students pursuing civil engineering or management degrees related to real estate sector from any AICTE approved institution. CREDAI will also provide seed capital to students taking educational loans from banks.
