Dr. Meena Chandavarkar appointed as new VC for Karnataka State Women’s University

Governor H R Bhardwaj on Thursday(International Women’s Day) announced the appointment of Dr Meena Rajiv Chandavarkar as the new Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Women’s University (KSWU).

Her term will last for a period of four years with effect from the date of her joining. Dr Meena succeeded Prof Geetha Bali, who retired on January 28, 2011.

Dr Meena completed her PhD from Karnataka University in Human Resource Development and served as the principal of SRN Arts and MBS  Commerce College, Bagalkot for 15 years.

She was the Director of UGC Academic Staff College at Karnataka University.

On her appointment as the new V-C, she said, “I have always dreamt of becoming the V-C of the Women’s University.It is a dream come true.
