Dr V.M. Pandharipande appointed as vice chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University

Governor of Maharashtra K. Sankaranarayanan, has appointed Dr V.M. Pandharipande as vice chancellor of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He will have a tenure of 5 years.

Dr V.M. Pandharipande, previously was the professor and director, Centre for Excellence in Microwave Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Pandharipande obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (electrical and communication) from Viswesaraya Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur with distinction in 1970. He secured his M. Tech from IIT Kharagpur in 1972, and was later awarded Ph.D in microwave engineering by the same institution in 1980.

He is the recipient of the ‘Best Teacher Award’ of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Sir Visvesvaraya Award, the Anna University National Award and the Best Teacher Award of the Osmania University.

Pandharipande succeeds Prof. Nagnath Kottapalle whose term expired June 4, 2010.
